Tracey Sokolski, a Research Fellow at the Center
for Rural Design at the University
of
Minnesota, works in environmental planning and site design and focuses in public
participation processes and multi-jurisdictional capacity building. She
has received a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the
College
of
Design
at the
University
of
Minnesota
and is working towards a second Masters in Urban and regional Planning
from the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute at the University
of
Minnesota. Her Bachelors Degree is in Architecture and the Arts and is from the
University
of
Illinois
at Chicago. She works with rural communities and jurisdictions to build support and
consensus in the development of physical and policy-based solutions to
land-based issues that strive to enhance the quality of life of all
involved. Her final degree project focused on art-based community economic
development as fuel for planning and site-scale design.
