Wyoming
Township: Planning and Design - Phase I & II
The Wyoming Township Board through its Planning Commission and
Citizens' Advisory Committee has launched a community design process led
by the Center for Rural Design to advise on revisions to the Township
Comprehensive Plan. Managing change to protect quality of life is at issue
in this fast-growing rural region. The three-phased project begun in the
summer of 2003 will explore alternative physical scenarios for the
township that will shape the final Comprehensive Plan and future zoning
ordinances. First phase of the project analyzes the natural resources,
land use pressures and community values through maps, drawings and a
community workshop, seeking consensus on development principles and
priorities.
